Trying to use my second download

I keep trying to download my 2nd download but it tells me my authoriztion code is incorrect and go back to my account for the correct one. I have copied and pasted the code but doesn't help.

What version did you purchase, because the download version from the store will always be the current release which is 4.08 right now. If your purchase wasn't for 4.0X then the code will not work for it.
If you purchased an upgrade to 4.0X then you have to make sure and find that code.
A word to the wise - always save the download rather than using the "Run" so you will have a copy and not have to download it again.

2nd download

I tried first to download 3.21 and the code wouldn't work. I then loaded 4.08 and it accepted the new authorization code, but it shows that my DVD/CD-Rom which is a Mashita UJ-841S is bad. I found the tread where they were saying that this is a problem with 4.08 and should reinstall 4.08 then load 3.21, and then reload 4.08. I tried this but still cannot get past the authoriztion code. anyone have any ideas?

If you are comfortable making registry changes, then go into regedit, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Default and click on that folder. On the right side find KnownDriveState001, right click on it and choose Modify. Then change the value to "1" from "0". Close the Regedit.
Then open Hoster and the drive should list as good.

cd drive

Thanks I did the regedit procedure and the drive does show "good" with the button along side of it saying "bad". It will not read a karaoke disk at all. I did check out the drive and it functions properly as a dvd/cd recorder, just won't read karaoke disk. I tried to import and it just sets there trying to record but never completes. When I just try to play a track on the disk it says " Invalid Selection, you must add a valid book id".

Thanks
Dan

Hoster cannot play a file directly from the CD. You would have to import one track using the Disc button which is a temporary import. Even some drives that will read DVD and CD do not read CDG correctly, so it is possible that the drive will not work. So in that case the program was correct to state that the drive was bad. You change that back to reflect this by hitting the Retest button on the left.
