Write Failed, User Abort?

Using Microstudio 4.006 with MTU purchased burner. About 3/4 through the disk write process it stops with a "write failed" error. Closing that I get another pop up window that says "User Aborted". I didn't abort or click cancell or click anything for that matter. I have tried this with two different brand disks and get the exact same error in the same spot on the write progress bar.

I am using Vista Ultimate, Core 2 Duo 2.8, 2GB RAM if that has any factor.
