audio play and sound

Hi everyone I have done a rebuild and deleted all book Id dupes and karaoke is working fine on both show and home or backup machines.
Have done all the updates for windows and lappy udates.
My backup machine is a desktop amd athlon 1.5ghz and 750mb ram both audio and karaoke work fine on this one.
Now on my laptop karaoke works fine but music not so fine instabuttons work fine they are wave start and stop fine.tracks from k-oke and also from imported kma are very slow to start but they do start in time then when you try to turn off you can wait a long time 2 to 3 min. So i know the sound is working. maybe 4.04 will fix this the main thing was that karaoke is working and it looks fine at this point.
Have fun all it will get better for us all this was a big update and a lot of cool toys thanks hoster or mtu.

You mention your desktop information but not the laptop. What is the processor and memory on it?
How big is your hard drive and how much free space is on it?
On 4.04 they did find and remove some delays that were in the code, so it will speed up some. However, this much of a slowdown indicates something on the laptop is slowing operation down.

Hi doug yes i would think so myself not sure why but worked before upgrade music files i mean. the other laptop is a Lenovo intel celeron M 1.5 ghz cpu and 1.49 gb ram. maybe if i remove other dj program or reinstall may fix the problem there must be a conflict in the sound but karaoke works fine. I do understand hoster uses multipal players will keep looking for problem dont need audio at this time but would be nice to add filler track at times. one thing i know hoster works fine on backup so must be a laptop problem what it is not sure at this time. I may be confused. Are you saying both parts of the karaoke (audio & video) are working, but regular audio is not?
Are you trying audio through Hoster or through another program?

have not tried video sound at this time and im just talking about hoster sound not from any other program. I have other programs on the machine for dj music and they work fine on there own.

Doug you know what i pluged in usb soundcard on laptop and it works fine dang! so it must be ac97 onboard soundcard that may need to be reinstalled hoster dont like that one on laptop working ok will check into it some more i also have a pmaci plug in what ever the slot name is and see if it works on that one i think it will.the only other problem that came up is that i have a o'canada song in mp3 but hoster wont play because it tells me done in mono not sterio first time for that to come up. So looks like all is well again was the lappy not hoster lol

Maybe Hoster just has a problem with Canadians Eh!!

why dont you tell everyone how you fixed the problem in case they ever have it.

To tell you the truth not really sure how it happend laptop was turned off for a bit after i had done all the upgrades from windows and maker of the laptop updates also. right after i pluged usb soundcard in to check if sound would improve and it did like night and day speed and what ever i needed to do was very mutch better so the best thing to say for you all having a problem with delays and sound. Do what mtu tells you to do upgrade everything you can then try hoster.
