the days of "crappy" sounding Midi's are over.

I'll echo both the above posts 100%, and to really fill out the package, get the Goldwave Digital Audio Editor program. They're a Canadian company. I don't know if they've changed any, but as I recall, it was around $35.00 U.S.
After you've converted the midi's to .WAV, you can add silence to the beginning or end of a track if needed, fade in or out, add echo, level the volume of several tracks, remove scratches from archived LP's, and many, many other neat editing tricks.

I usually wind up using all three programs on a project, and thanks again to KJZONE for finding Edirol VSC..
