lost search screen

guys, this is going to sound weird, but i dragged the "search" window off of my screen on accident and now i can't get it back. i can't see it anywhere to drag it back. i've changed resolution, screen aspect ratio and changed the screen orientation from landscape to portrait with no luck at all. anyone got any other ideas? i've never had this happen before with any program. has anyone else ever done this or am i extraordinary?

Re: lost search screen

Try the Tools/ options reset displays. I don't know if it will work with the search screen but give it ago.

Re: lost search screen

you could change your screen resolution to find it.

Re: lost search screen

dennis, no go wih the reset. i think that is only for the main show screen and the singers display, but i could be mistaken. it didn't work, though.

beavis, yeah that was my first thought, but no luck there either.

to all - i just reinstalled the program, but if anyone knows another, better way to fix it, i'd be grateful to hear it since i'm not that smart and eventually i will make the same mistake!

Are you using Dual Display? If so, you should see it on the Singers' Display screen, then you can drag it back to your desktop. I've done that before

Yes, but unfortunately, I dragged it down not across to the singer's screen. wasn't a big deal. I reinstalled and hoster was smart enough that i didn't have to recreate a song list or anything like that.

Re: lost search screen

One thing you could have tried was to drag the taskbar at the bottom over to the right side or set the option for it to minmize (the taskbar that is) which would make it hide. Either way you would then see the whole lower areaof the screen and shoulb be able to see it then.

Re: lost search screen

DD, yeah tried that too. it was the damndest thing! i've never had it happen before, especially considering i couldn't even pull it up using the alt/tab method. it didn't even show up there when i KNOW it was open.. very weird, but like i said, it all worked out after a reinstall anyway. i am sure it has something to do with windows 7.

Re: lost search screen

Shut hoster off and reopen it. Hoster remembers the songs list already up. That works for me when the wife does that.

This happens to me all the time and I have an easy fix.
· Right click the task bar
· Select “Properties”
· Then either select or de-select “Auto-hide the taskbar”
· All the open windows will center themselves
· You can then set “Auto-hide” back to the desired setting.
Works ever time, just takes a few seconds to do.
