Unable to Write CD Using MicroStudio w/LITEON

Did you reboot after clearing out Nero? If not do so as the changes won't be effective until you do.
Check and make sure the drive is in the Tools/Default Drives and has the correct drive letter. If you plugged in the drive after turning on the computer it may have changed drive letters in which case MS won't recognize it.

Thanks DDouglass! Yes I did re-boot, twice. And I did have computer on when I connected the CD recorder (bummer). I am not sure of how to check for proper drive specification. What is the path?

Microstudio - Tools Default Drive.
What operating system?
Laptop or Desktop?
Version of Microstudio?

You are absolutley right. My drive specifications are all screwed up.

Try going to Control Panel, click on System, go to Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager.
Find the drive and uninstall it.
Then reboot.
If this doesn't fix it then you may have a bad cable or drive controller (inside drive and not replaceable).
