Media Player 12 (Windows 7) and Hoster 4.11 possible bug or issue

I want to share something that happened tonight with Windows 7.

While I was playing Hoster I decided to share an intro video with the crowd(work in progress). I played it using Media Player 12. When the video ended I went back to Hoster, to my surprise, I saw the lyrics windows with no audio. I closed Hoster and opened it again and everything went back to normal.

Wanted to share what happened to me with Windows 7 (64 bit Home Premium) in case that the same thing happens to you.

You kind of caught me off-guard with that one. I hadn't heard of WMP 12 and had to do some research.
What I found is 12 is only for Windows 7, Windows Mobile and Mac at this time.
One of the beta testers had reported a problem with a video he made without sound for an Instabutton use. After playing it Hoster had no audio out until he restarted it. I don't remember if it was on Windows 7 or not.
I would suggest you submit a Support Ticket so they can take a look at this.
Have you tried playing your intro video through Hoster to see if the same thing happens? Could be helpful if you do that before submitting the ticket. I don't know if they can come up with an immediate fix, but they can certainly look at it to see if they can fix it for the next or a future release.

I am going to be more specific, the video that I played didn't have audio, since it is a work in progress, I use media player to play the video(avi) and Hoster to play audio(mp3). It worked but when I presented the next guest (Hoster was in auto mode) we saw the graphics of his request but with no audio. I closed Hoster and restarted it. That solved the problem. If I experience anything else I'll let you know.

Put your information in a support ticket so MTU can take a look at this and see what exactly is happening.

Re: Media Player 12 (Windows 7) and Hoster 4.11 possible bug or issue

As suggested I played the video with Hoster and to my surprise it happened again. Apparently, it happens with Windows 7 and Hoster. I just did it again at home and happened again. The next song after the video finishes displays lyrics with no music. I have to shut Hoster down and since it keeps the playlist I open it again and the show continues. I just upgraded to Hoster 4.20. I am going to try the scenario again.

Re: Media Player 12 (Windows 7) and Hoster 4.11 possible bug or issue

It's still happening. The video format is AVI. The computer is an ASUS with Windows 7 64 bits. RAM is 4gb and has an NVidia GE Force GT 2200M. Even though, MTU does not recommend that brand I could not resist the price and the replacement warranty even if it gets damaged due to accidental drops and spills. Beside that it works great.

I didn't because Hoster was playing music. Since the video is a work in progress did not have any audio.
