Build song database

I tried to build my songs database. Whilst building the process stop and a window appeared "parameters incorrect". Several songs had been built but not my full song folder. How can I solve this

Those disks may have an errant entry in the songlist, such as null characters or some other entry that is invalid. Check the database to identify those disk ids, and edit the entry.

Problem Rebuilding Database

I have rebuilt before and did not have this problem. It's a "parameter thing". I removed the first half of the songs and tried it that way and it still gave the parameter error. Do you think I should unistall and reinstall hoster?

Uninstalling and re-installing will not help. You have some corrupted files that something in the header has changed. THere have been threads in the past about this and how to fix them. It involves either re-importing them or editing them and resaving them. There is a BuildSongDB.log file in the Hoster folder that will help.

Found the problem. Had to upgrade the backup computer to 4.11 and the files went in smoothly. Thanks

That is true. Version 4.10 and 4.11 both had added fields in the database for the Remove Silence function. Since you didn't mention what version you were using I didn't know we weren't talking about the current version.

error in building

Thanks everyone, I solved the problem by deleting the latest set of songs I had put in. I went back to the original cds and put them back in Hoster.
