As I said with 37,000 you are pushing the limit of Microstudio. Even with my 18,000 it takes a while for the list to come up and if I do a search it takes half a minute to list them.

i understand the waiting time, but why would stop when i'm searching for a song and tapping the space bar ?, i had this ext. drive plugged in on my pc for a while now and i don't recall having this problem, it's only when i did the upgrade that this started happening, but anway i will try the other drive i have with less files, see it will solve the problem..i have the specs on the other post, would you mind telling me if it's good enough to run Hoster Lite ?..thanks for you help..

Bexause it is a short cut for Skip. This is exactly what the manual says about it:
" Skip (or Spacebar key) stops the current song and plays the next song, or stops if the last song was playing"

In other words it is designed that way.

ok i do understand that space bar is a short cut for skip/stop, but how would you search for a song if you typed in 2 words of the song title, while a song is playing.. you have to tap the space bar to be able to get the 2nd word in..,..i guess my solution would be to search for all the songs first and add them to the playlist...but anyway..i could lived with what i got, not a big deal..thanks for your help..

Don't be playing a song when you search with more than one word.
Mixrostudio is not a show program.
