No you are not wrong. Windows 7 is based on Vista which is not based on XP therefore Xp to Windows 7 will require a clean install.

Did you get your problem fixed?
Did you ever figure out what was causing your Hoster to shut down after your songs were done playing? I've been having plenty of problems with the new Hoster and finally got them ironed out when I had a show last Saturday and developed this one. After 4 hours of running problem free, Hoster started to shut down after every song finished. If I stopped the song before it finished and manually went on to the new song, it didn't do it. Just wondering if you had any luck resolving your issue, sounds alot like mine. Thanks.

Captnkarl and Alaskatazdvl if you will each run the System Information in the Start Menu under Programs/Accessories/System Tools. Then copy the Summary information and paste it in a post here. This may help to determine where the problem is.
Also check to make sure you have the latest release. Look under Help/ About Hoster. It should be version "4.11." and if not upgrade again please. This was a second release of 4.11 to fix a couple areas. There is one other thing you can do to help find and fix the shutdowns. Either use SystemCare (free) or System Mechanic to clean-up your system and fix errors in your system.

hi DDouglas
You were trying to help me with my lyrics sweeping out of sync. I finally did a factory image restore and it is better. I only have to use the playback offset to -.75 instead of -1 which is better. The skip issue I was having is gone as well. However, now as my post said yesterday, I ran a show for 4 hours no problem then all the sudden it began shutting down everytime a song ended. I had not opened anything and nothing had changed as far as I could tell. But here is my system info again. See if you maybe see something.

If I remember right this is a laptop. Since it runs fine for 4 hrs and then starts shutting down. I suspect it is a case the computer is getting hot. This causes errors to start happening because the processor is not getting enough air.
You could try a cooling stand that has fans in it. I know Wal-mart has a couple models and not expensive, though I would make sure it is one that has its own power and is not powered by USB. The other thing is if you have had and used this computer for a while (6 - 12 months or more) then take it to a reputable repair shop and have them clean it. If these get enough dust built up inside then they don't cool as well. One thing that may help with your offset is try lowering your page file size. I know this sounds a little wierd but MTU tried this on a couple computers and it actually helped with the sync. My guess would be that it forces the computer to use more of its memory to store the playing song file and less of the page file. Memory is faster than having to go to the hard drive to get data.

thanks again
thanks for replying again. lol. How do i adjust the page memory? I don't know what to do for that. I will also see about getting it cleaned out. That could very well be the issue. The only thing is that it doesn't shut down if I end the song and move on to the next singer manually. kind of weird really. Thanks again.

Right click on "My Computer" and go to properties. Click on the Advanced tab and the top section is Performance. Click on Settings, then click on the Advanced tab again. Bottom of that page is Virtual Memory. This is where you can change the amounts.
You would be surprised what will cause the processor to not find a command or mess-up in some way when it is getting too hot.
