I haven't tried them in a while but I know Hoster would not play them because of the DRM. It could be because the songs were "imported" on one computer and transferred to another. I don't remember as that was a while back and I have slept since then.

Most of the songs I started with were imported on 2 older computers, which I transferred to my Vista laptop 2 years ago. Since then, I have imported CDs with WMP directly onto Vista and some are mp3s I have purchased off the net. I have never had any problems with audio.

I don't have any problem with my WMP songs either. There is an option in WMP to not assign the DRM. I have used this since day one because of different portable music devices I have used over the years.

Hey all,

Just a recommendation for your BA playlist. I used this last Friday for the first time and absolutely loved it. I created a folder and copied files there that were appropriate for the crowd I was working with (about 30 songs or so). I will delete the files from that folder and create my next list of songs just prior to my next gig. Make sure that you copy instead of moving the files so that you do not lose them when you clear the folder.

Just a suggestion.

Billyo, I feel for you. This is a rather complex "automatic" feature. From the questions you are asking I'd suggest you... forgive me... read the manual... (ducking as I see the spear chuckers lining up around me).

Good ideas!

You now can click-n-drag songs in the BA Player's open folder vertically to change their play order. However... when you close Hoster the order is lost. BA Player uses a standard Window folder(s) and plays the files the open one contains.

In Hoster 4.20, if we have the time, we'll change BA Player to open Hoster .HST Playlist files containing audio .MP3 and .WMA files. Then, any changes you make in the playing order are saved and appear the next time you open that playlist in the BA Player. Also, you can create a "dance mix" of audios that play for awhile in BA Player if you want. You then could also use the new Files menu > Append Playlist command and add your "dance mix" into Hoster and play it from there, where it shows in the Singers Names Display (SND).

We also added a new feature that, while you are in Intermission mode (and playing the BA Player), we update the TIME fields in the SND every 60 seconds so your Singers will know when they can show up on stage.
