1. What speed are you trying to burn at? 1x, 2, 4x, 8x, etc.
2. What Brand and X Speed of CD-R are you using?
3. Are you using MicroStudio or Goldenhawk? (the error message you are getting is typical of Goldenhawk)
4. Go on the Internet and search for a small program called "ASPI Version Checker" download and run it. With Win98 you should see 4 Files all version 4.60 ASPI Drivers.
5. Go to your C: Directory and look at the "AspiLog.TXT" file. See if it is empy or has some information in it. If Blank I have attached the AspiLog.TXT file you should Copy and Paste to your C: Drive.
6. Re-Boot your computer and re-try.
