Try unzipping a couple and then convert the MP3+G file to WAV+G. When Hoster imports a ZIP file there are two ways that it was done. In previous versions it was imported by wrapping a KMA header around the file as it was copied to the new location. In other words the file was still a zip file on the inside.
The current versions import a ZIP file by unzipping it and importing the MP3 (no additional compression) as is along with the CDG file all into one file with the KMA header. If the KMA file you are trying to convert is a ZIP file in the KMA file then Microstudio may have problems getting through all the layers of file to extract the audio file.

We just released version 1.22 that does fix some crash issues with converting .kma files to MP3+G. They were mainly under Windows Vista and Windows 7 that I had found the problem with.
You can download it from here.
