cd drive

Thanks I did the regedit procedure and the drive does show "good" with the button along side of it saying "bad". It will not read a karaoke disk at all. I did check out the drive and it functions properly as a dvd/cd recorder, just won't read karaoke disk. I tried to import and it just sets there trying to record but never completes. When I just try to play a track on the disk it says " Invalid Selection, you must add a valid book id".

Thanks
Dan

Hoster cannot play a file directly from the CD. You would have to import one track using the Disc button which is a temporary import. Even some drives that will read DVD and CD do not read CDG correctly, so it is possible that the drive will not work. So in that case the program was correct to state that the drive was bad. You change that back to reflect this by hitting the Retest button on the left.

drive

Yes that is what I meant just didn't say it right, I tried to import a track using the disk tab. I suspect that this drive just won't read cdg. Thanks for your help.

Is this a laptop or a desktop type of computer? If it is a laptop you can get a USB drive to use from MTU or if it is a desktop they have an internal drive you can add to your computer.

cd drive won't read cdg

After reading another thread about having to load an earlier version before loading 4.08, I tried to do this and 3.21 would not allow my authorization code to go through, the original code was lined out and a new one was given that matched the code for the 4.08 download. I could download 4.08 using the code given, but then I had the problem with the d: drive showing as bad and unable to read a cdg disk. Could this be because I was unable to download the 3.21 version?
