Questions About 4.08

Now that i've upgraded to 4.08 form 4.06 i have a couple of questions. Just want to make sure i'm not missing something. First off, i've noticed under "Tools" "CD/CD Rom" where my drives are listed, there's no way to adjust the speeds anymore right? There is however on the "Import Tracks" screen the speed control is still there right? It just looked like the singers disc was importing rather fast.

Second, While importing a "Singers Disc" during play back of a CD+G, or a video CD+G. The playing song will not completly end, untill After the singers disc is completly imported. In other word, the end screen, be it black, or with credits will not disapear untill after the singers disc's KMA has been completly written. I don't recall this happening in 4.06 did it? Maybe it did, i just never noticed. I just want to make sure all is working right. It plays great on my laptop, just like 4.06 did. George

Correct

This has always been the case as long as I can remember. With the new import code they do import faster but it's still a good idea to start the import clost to the begining of the track that is playing.

George
I hope this helps.

George, yes this is the way it is supposed to work. That way you are not trying to start another song until the import has completed. Even with the advanced error correction that has been in version 4 for a while, the speed of the import has been improved over the earlier sub-versions.
As to the drive speed in the import window I haven't touched it in ages and it is always importing at max speed which is the best rate for todays drives. In the earlier drives a lot of them would optimize at less than maximum speed, but todays drives work best at maximum speed.
