try to make a copy ( duplicate ) of any of your cdg's, if that still doesn't work, i guess it's time to get a new one..

After applying the fix that Marklwood provided, microstudio started working again but, the microstudio has the @ symbol next to the drive and there is only one selection of drives that appears and my second drive isn't an option. After I reinstall the microstudio the drive letters appear again but, then it doesn't work again. It seems the fix works but limits me to a single drive and making the second drive unavailable.

This is with Microstudio not reinstalled after the fix was applied:
The first CDG burn works

I made a second cdg disc that failed I was watching the drive burn the disc but, it made no disc spinning sound during the process which completed to 100 percent with distorted lyrics.

I made a third disc I heard a spinning sound so I believe its a 100% okay but, now doesn't want to eject itself out and it's stuck doesn't come out even though I press the eject button. The discs songs were distorted as well.

You could go to hardware profiles and delete the 2 drives and then let Windows re-install them before you re-install Windows to see if that will fix it.

I removed the roxio program no change still the same errors in Microstudio
Roxio is probably involved with part of this. It's been a thorn in our support for years!

However, I am theorizing here... that a DVD doesn't take as much power to the writing laser as a CDR disc does. If not, the laser would overhead writing 4GB versus 0.8GB of "data pits" on the media.

This would explain why the write laser can burn a DVD but not a CDR. The fact that (from an earlier post) Windows Media won't burn an audio disc (takes the same power since it uses a CDR disc), tends to confirm my theory.

How much time do you want to spend? If your Windows is farkled, you'll need to reformat and reinstall. If not... BEFORE you reformat, download Microstudio 4.08 (released this past Monday) and UPGRADE or REMOVE 4.006 and then install 4.20. You can then REMOVE 4.20 and your RegCode Record in our Database is removed from this computer. You are then clear to install it on the new REFORMATTED HDD or on another computer without MTU's help.

Yes my windows just started acting up after all the test that I ran through. So I didn't have a chance to remove all the MTU programs and did a complete reinstall on my computer. Now it's telling me that I can't install on the newly rebooted computer. So I can't take directions #2 on installing without help. Thanks.

You will need to submit a support ticket to get you registrations reset. I know you don't want to hear that, but unfortunately that is the only way to get it done.
