Yes, I do have Microstudio and will give that a try. I have gone to hp updates to check for any hardware updates required. I did this just recently because my C: drive was failing and replaced it. It's on a laptop and plugs in(no cables). I did use the Xp restore discs that I made and required because the OS comes already installed in it's own partion on the c: drive.
