REMOVED Scrolling Marquee In Lyrics View

Quote:
REMOVED Scrolling Marquee In Lyrics View - The moving Marquee on some computers can cause the Karaoke Lyrics to be out of sync with the music. The only viable solution that always works is to prevent (Hide checkbox checked) displaying the Marquee while a singer is performing a CDG Karaoke song in the Lyrics View.

Why Can't this be done as an Option For the some that have this problem?

Mine work's good all the time no problems.

I've been reading about users upgrading their computers my self included to handle the added features and the very mush Wanted/Needed Marquee to be removed while a singer is performing?

This makes no sense at all when the show is going what time is left to advertize.

!. Specials on Drinks
2. Upcoming Events
3. Who's on next Weeks Show
4. BirthDay's, Anniversaries
5. And other announcements

This feature has become an important part of the show and very useful to get the message out to the people.

Please Make Removal an Option

Thank You

Joe......

Exclamation Lyric View Marquee

I too would like to see the lyric view, marquee scroll, stay as an option. It's one of those features that I would be using perpetually and some of the others I could care less about, like the insta buttons! I switch back and forth during shows, and since I run mostly in auto mode ( Unless I'm switching the marquee message ) the marquee would be barely visible between songs, and it would be starting over every time, and wouldn't get very far prior to the start of the next song/singer!

I VOTE for Joe's idea, if feasible!

Maybe we can meet half way and have it there but not scroll.

I think the movement is what catches the attention of the crowd, and that is the purpose! Right?

Hi Bryant

Another point is I use 3 to 4 messages all in sequence and to spend so mush time and attention going through the menus clicking off one message then clicking on what you want to appear while running a show, taking request among other task to run a smooth show is just short of possible.

At the time he wrote that it was being hidden and greyed out so you couldn't use it in the Lyrics display. That descision has been reversed .

Yes, it does, and also distracts the singer. I also think that a lot of ppl don't really read a whole scrolling message that takes more than 4 or 5 seconds to wander across the top. I've asked a number of ppl a number of times and a lot of them do not even read the singer's list or know when they are coming up (next or whatever). I've had bartenders ask me to please mention or put up on the screen "a last call", when it had been up there in clear still view for 15 minutes.

Anyway, I guess these are moot ponts now.

I agree, that would be a pain in the neck, but at least a compromise.

All be it a moot point now, however.

Tools/Show Display
Lyrics view is what the singer's see while singing
Intermission is what is shown when not playing karaoke
Preview is what the DJ sees

On each page of the Show Display in the Marquee settings area is a "Hide" checkbox. Check it and the Marquee isn't shown. Or you can open the Marquee control (Marquee Button on main page) and Hide it in all screens if you don't want it to show at all.
