![]() You can make medleys using KHP and here is how I do it.
I usually choose about 4 songs. You can use CDG's, Instrumentals, Midi Files. All must be in "Wave" format. Let's say I want to make a medley from four CDG Discs. 1. First extract the tracks from the discs using MicroStudio and save them as a wave file. (Use KeyRite to change Key if necessary) 2. Import each of the tracks into a program like Cool Edit Pro. (Cool Edit Pro is so easy to use) 3. Next using Cool Edit Pro "Normalize" each of the four tracks so that their volume is the same. 4. Next using Cool Edit Pro "Cut the first 5 to 7 seconds of the wave file (this is the part of the wave file that has no music while the graphics are displayed on a CDG disc. AND save the file. 5. Next play each wave file to the point you want to end the song and start the next song. This is usually up to the Interlude or Instrumental Break. Place your cursor at the ending point and right mouse click to highlight back to the beginning of the song and 'COPY" AND SAVE. I use the name of the song with the word "CUT" in it. 6.Do this for all four songs. 7. Next "Import" "Song #1 Cut" 8. Next "Import" Song #2 "PASTE" behind Song #1 9. Do this for all four songs. 10. Next "Overlap" the beginning of Song #2 with the Ending of Song #1. 11. Same thing for song 3 and 2 and 4 and 3. 12. Next "Highlight" the "Overlap" and "Right Mouse Click and select "Mix". 13. Example: The end of Song #1 will be mixed with the start of Song #2 with a Smooth Transition If you don't like the transition keep playing with the amount of overlap and mix until you like the Transition. 14. Next save the new Wave File that contains all four songs. 15. Using Notepad, type the Lyrics and Import into KHP. 16. Next Import the Wave file into KHP. 17. Play the song and Sinc the Lyrics. 18. YOU NOW HAVE YOUR FIRST MEDLEY. MAY TAKE YOU 1-2 HOURS TO MAKE YOUR FIRST MEDLEY, BUT ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT YOU CAN DO IT IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES.
