Just copy them through Windows Explorer the same way you would copy any file. I would copy the Folder and all from one external to the other. Right click on the Folder on current drive and choose "Copy", go to the new drive and right click (in the file list area) and choose "Paste." That will copy the Folder name and all its contents.

new hard drive
OK guys, I went to my computer clicked on my old hard drive, right clicked on the folder with my songs, selected copy, went to my new drive, right clicked, selected paste and it worked. I checked it and all is well with it. Then I disconnected it, went to hoster and picked a song from my data base, clicked on add track and got the message "was not found on the hard drive". I went to my computer, clicked on my old hard drive, selected the folder and all my songs are still there. Why doesn't hoster see them? What do I need to do?

Try going to tools, and rebuild the database of your kma's with the drive letter that you are going to search in. This tells Hoster where to search for your kma files. I have to do this rebuild when I switch out an external HD to update, or when adding new kma's, and probably will solve your problem. Rick Rikki Tikki Karaoke |

New hard drive
Thank you. Rebuilding the data base worked. Happy new year.
