Thanks Beavis and billyo but yes I have tried to detect using the tool menu and I am running the full and current versions of Microstudio and Hoster. I really think it is Vista and was hoping someone else had a workaround for this. Am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP1 on the Touch Smart and Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 on the laptop.

Do the drives show in the CD/DVD window or do they not show at all? What make and model are the drives? Do you have Roxio or Nero software on the computer?
