Acronis takes about 5 minutes, for a 500 gig hard drive,
just a thought. Bob

Hey Bob,
The Disc wizard failed, Norton Ghost 9 has failed, I'm downloading the demo of True Image now.

I have spent a full day with this and still don't have a bootable copy of my C:\ drive.

Thanks for your help!

Jim

Thanks Bob,
I downloaded and installed a demo of True Image Home. I'm downloading the Migrate Easy demo now. I'll uninstall True Image and get the Migrate Easy installed in it's place.

Thanks Again

Jim

Been using Norton Ghost 2003 ever since 2003 and have been completely satisfied.

From what I've been seeing lately though, they have become a nightmare to work with. If I ever need to change, Acronis here I come..

The main purpose of this post is to advise anyone doing it, that uninstalling any Norton product, does not do a completle uninstall of the product by a darn sight. There are more files left in the registry than one would imagine.

It's so bad Norton offers Norton removal software...go figure

Peter Norton used to be my hero back in the DOS days. Not so much anymore.

hey ken

he wants 2 drives mirrored at all times in case one fails.

hey jim

it seems to me its easier to buy a 500gb drive for under a hundred and replace the original drive once a year.

then use the old drive as a backup. buy a couple of external USB cases for the old hard drives.

the drives they make are pretty reliable today. ive never had one crap out during a show. for that matter never had one go on my karaoke computer.
