I would definitely try adjusting hardware acceleration. It could fix it for you.

Try backing it off a couple of notches and see what happens. I would try adjusting it over to the first notch on the left past none first. I really think this might fix the issue. Basically try each one.

I will try to boot up one of my Toshiba laptops when I get home and let you know where they are set. I think there is something in the manual about this too.

Well mine is set to full also. Went back through the manual and I must have read it on the forums as it is not there. There are some settings in the manual you might want to look at though. Performance setting should be on background programs and such as that. It will not hurt to try the hardware acceleration settings though.

As we continued to find possible errors, depending on situations, more code was added. Some was changed entirely. Most had to do with Vista problems. This added to the overall stress put on our systems. I truly believe that without Vista, we would not have had these issues. This, of course, is only my opinion.

I was running 3.xx on a system not even 1/2 as powerful as the Dell you have. It wouldn't run 4.x either. I did get it to run after upgrading the video card. Then shortly thereafter, it died. May it rest i peace.
