To answer your question, that everyone seems to be skipping over. The zip file contains two files, a MP3 file and a CDG file. The problem with zip files is there are many different ways that the zipping programs use to compress and rewrite the files you are zipping. Even though Hoster has been worked and reworked to accommodate all of the different formats MTU knew about. However they could not get them all into Hoster which is why some people run into problems with them.
Your best bet in this case since these are normal MP3+G files taht are zipped is to use Songverter to convert them from MP3G Zipped to MP3G. This means all Songverter will do in this case is extract the files from the zip.
Since taking one song, unzipping it, and temporarily importing it with the K-oke button worked then I would say that if you were to use Songverter and do a few disks worth and re-import them from those that they should work too. If that works then go ahead with the rest of them.

I am not sure what exactly you are saying here. Do you mean BookID instead of DiskID?
Vista will only hide files if you put them in locations that it does not like, such as in the Program Files area or the Documents and Settings area.
