Hey Rob,
This may or may not help but if I recall correctly, the problem with the key change feature in 4.03 was it changed in full steps not half steps. (I no longer have 4.03 installed so I can't check.) If this is the case, each button will raise or lower the key one full step (no half steps). Anybody's song that is nomally +2 can be used in 4.03 by selecting +1. Just a thought.  Your work around is an excelent idea.  Jim
