Is the external hard drive the drive you use on your laptop or do you use an internal drive on the laptop. If you always used an external on the laptop, yes the drive has to be plugged in in order for Hoster to recognize them. Then make sure that Hoster is pointed to the external & rebuild your database.

2.. Can I delete the old kma files on hoster and just use the ones on the external hard drive. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As long as those (the ones on your laptop) aren't the ones you use primarlily, then you can delete the old files.
Do you HAVE to delete them for space issues, or ??? Always nice to have a backup of your files handy.
