Yes, there is recording option and it is checked. Have also tried un-installing and re-installing and that didn't work either.

I'm not sure how it is connected to Hoster when Hoster does not have recording capability so wouldn't change anything related to it.

Dale, seems like when Hoster installs, it makes a registry change. The one I posted definitely affects the drive recognition. Surely someone else has had this problem if Hoster is responsible. A friend of mine is researching it and I will post any good info I get from him. Until then, I can't record on either machine.

hoster doesnt record, it just reads the disc.

i had the same problem a while back, when i installed the 4.3 demo version, opened the demo version, and got a msg. " no cd/dvd found" or something like that, went to " my computer" hardware tab, and i noticed that the cd/dvd had a yellow exclamation point, tried update the driver, error msg, no driver found,install-re-install, didnt work i ended up doing restore..and it worked,i uninstall the demo, re-install got the same error msg..i ended up doing the restore again..

Below you will find a very detailed way to return the tabs. Mine still shows the recording tabs for the CD RW so it was not my problem, which I am still looking for. If you use this (it is safe as it creates a backup file during the process) just follow step by step very carefully. Good luck and let me know if it helps!
