Remember Mark, there are six font setting in the show display, three for the lyrics view and three for the intermission view. Be sure you change all of them.

Jim
I did change them all at least in the lyrics view. I didn't want to change anything in the intermission view because it ain't broke. I did use the settings as a guide to copy from. No luck. I then set the name, time, and title (even though not displayed) to 10pt and tried every font in my list. I only have about a dozen fonts because Windows has to load all True Type Fonts at startup. After any clean install, I go to the folder with all the fonts and delete most of them. When Dale asked about using Ariel Black, I thought that was probably the first font on the list, and I would have defaulted to that. When I had checked it was just plain Ariel, not Ariel Black. Since I was running a yellow background with a red font color, I then tried changing colors of fonts and background colors and had no effect.

Like I said earlier in this thread, it is not a big enough deal to spend one more second on trying to figure it out. I just stretched my screen to hide it and I don't have to give it one more thought. Thanks for wasting your time on this extremely trivial matter. Sometimes if I just walk away from an issue, I will come across something later that will give me a clue as to what I should have tried. If I happen to re-visit this and get it fixed I will let you all know.

Mark,
Time is never wated when we are woking together to make Hoster better which I do not see as trival. If nothing eles we are aware of the problem and have narrowed it down, with your help. If anybody else has the same problem they will read this post, follow your advice and maybe help locate it's source.

I want to thank you for taking your time to participate in this forum. You are a big help in my opinion.

Fixed

I finally figured out the problem. It is because I am a complete friggin idiot

Tonight when I went in, I took a fresh set of TT fonts in to see if I had something corrupted. After I reinstalled the fonts, it still wasn't fixed. I went back to check the options again and BINGO I guess I had missed the title display line. It was set at 24pt. I thought I had checked that, but for some reason I missed it. I guess when I changed that I forgot to hit apply. Rookie mistake. I don't display the title and guess I put less emphasis on that line since I thought it shouldn't matter. Well, it does matter. Sorry to have wasted everyone's time on this. I should never have been so careless.

Time NOT wasted

I have been using 4.03 and never any problems (OK, the zip thing i overcame was minor).

I noticed my display lines were a little funky; never lost any sleep and things ran fine.....

Just tried out display....was using ARIAL BLACK....changed to some other font (COmic sans MS?) ....runs perfect

No, you did not waste time on this thread Markl.....you just gave another MTU user a great tip to make his show better!

Thank you! (and MadJim & Dale (I don't do shows commercially...but run lots for parties, family, Weekend festivals, picnics etc. so I do appreciate a clean running system!)
