It appears we may have a problem related to this 3315 error message. We thought it was fixed in 3.318, but maybe not.

We'll look at it tomorrow (Monday).

As I read it, Bob says the files he got the 3315 error on "are there" and "play fine".

Dale said "those files are not added to the database".

Admin - who is right?
And what exactly does Field "Songs Mfg Name" cannot be zero-length mean?

And why are the number of songs Hoster says I started with with be different on 2 different installs? Files don't just disappear

1. Uh... ok.

2. Uh... ok.

3. Beats me! Your system has nothing to do what their data... just my assessment of what I can see facts with at 12:31AM.

4. There is a field in every KMA file header named "Mfg name". It must have something in it, i.e. non-zero data.

Please attach one of your files that fails with this error. We need to analyze its KMA Header to insure what is causing this error.

5. "with with" is confusing. If there is a bug, don't ask why, ask can we find and fix it. Answering "whys" only complicates the matter, and do not solve the problem. You want to run Karaoke shows. We need facts (one of your bad files will suffice) so we can fix your problem. That's it.

If you can figure out exactly what one of the files is (DiskID-Track) then you can open it in Notepad (takes a little bit to open but it will). The top area is the Header and you will see that information is missing the Brand (Mfg Name) is missing and may be missing more than that. You can figure out which record if you have Access as stated in my post #2.
As Admin said there appears to be a bug that they thought they had fixed a while back and they will look at it, but that won't bring back those files for you. I don't know what Bob is doing to his files to fix it so they add in but I had to re-import mine.
When this happened mine did the same as yours. I had the same number of files in my folders on two computers yet my total songs on rebuild was off by 10.

Sky, please ignore our dearly respected Dale D. You do NOT need to see this file header, and... there could be characters that Notepad will not show, because it can not display them.

Please attach your file for us to evaluate with our Development tools. Thank you.

The only way I can add the file (so you can see it) is if I re-build, again! As I said in a previous post, the first time I did a re-build after I upgraded to 4.03 the first time, I got the 3315 errors, as well as the dupIDs telling me to look at the "BuildSongsDBlog.txt". I did NOT get this message the second time I re-built. I really don't want to do it a third time, just to figure out what 3315 means on only 8 files.

Would still like a response to my Thread "BuildSongsDBlog.txt-Wrong". I am trying to understand how things work, so maybe I can figure out some of this myself without having to Post everytime I have a problem.

Error 3315 -
While rebuilding, one song it stopped on is Track #2899
How do I find that song so I can post it here?
