Keeping singers in rotation

Hi there I used to use 0000 in the song number and add singers name to keep them in the rotation when they haven't put their next song in yet. But in Hoster 4.01 you can't use 0000 as a song number. How do you keep singers in the rotation (when entering songs ahead) when they haven't put a song in.

Also for my last 2 shows I have plugged in my external hard drive (to the same usb port that I use all the time) and it has given it a different drive path and I have had to rebuild the song database to recognise the new drive, before I start the show. Any suggestions why this happens?

To keep the rotation I have created a dummy song file using an existing song I imported it as a custom assembly gave it a BookID of 9999 and changed the Title to ****Need Song**** That stands out on the playlist.
The external drive changing letters is unfortunately a Microsoft issue. If you plug in the external drive and turn it on before you start the computer it will usually not change. If that doesn't work then instead of rebuilding the database, go to Start\Control Panel then click on Computer Management. In there you will see a Disk Managment. Open that and find the external drive. Right click on it, select Change Drive Letter and set it back to the one in Hoster. There is no way I know of to make an external drive have a permanent letter.

I set Hoster to keep songs on the playlist after they have played (Options Menu). When a singer is done but doesn't give their next song I just put the played song in the slot. This holds the slot and gives the singer plenty of time to select their next song. A played song does not effect the times displayed or show up in the singer name display.

I do what Dale does, but I also use the SND by putting their name as:
Mike Putinafreakingsong, or some derivative of that.
Never fails to get their attention.

When you respond to this post, go to Additional Options (below the Message window) and click on the Manage Attachment button. Then click on a Browse to select your picture then upload it. This should add a link to your picture on the post. Hey, we may be able to link to it. We'll try once you get your picture posted.

I know we are off the topic but this will be done in a moment.

okay here goes. But, when I click on that, I get a quick little circle with a line thru it, meaning it won't let me do anything with it.

Put it in a zip file first. I also sent you my email address as an option.

rotation

just keep there name in there the song will say it's already been played///no need to delete singer or add 0000.....when the singer brings new slip add song and drag it to where he was in rotation...now if singer skips rotation...well delete his ass and put him at the end on the line
