Yes I did and didn't work no matter what I do I can't get 4.2 out of my system to do a clean install of 4.0 and then upgrade to 4.1.

After removing Hoster 4.0 4.1 4.2 using control panal and then removing MTU and Hoster folders and cleaning up the registry.

It still when installing 4.0 comes up with 4.2 with all the features.

This can only happen if MTU put a hidden folder with files in my system and is not cooperating with me to solve my problem to inable me to do a clean install of 4.1 like I had before with no problem using my program and song files.
Hoster does not have a hidden folder any where and as said previously all of the features have been in the program from 4.0. You may not have set any of those up so didn't see them when you had 4.0 installed before.
When you cleaned the registry did you remove the Hoster references from both Local Machine and from Current User? If not that is why some of the items would be retained.

Before I installed Hoster 4.2 and made a mess?
Lets back track a bit. Do your CD imported files play? We know the zip imported ones won't so don't need to ask that again.

Have you tried re-importing a small batch of your zip files from the originals that you have (not the back up KMA versions)? If not try that and lets see if they will play.

You're welcome!

We've been working harder than I ever have in my 40 years in business!

Once we abandoned Microsoft's Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer, everything started working solidly as before.

When you're up to your armpits in Alligators, it's hard to remember you were on the way to a new island to plant new palm trees!

Files are converted from HDZIP to HDMP3G ONLY after the checkbox is clicked stating that all files have been backed up. If anyone doesn't do this, there is no reason to complain here or to MTU.

Furthermore, you can disallow the conversion and continue using any HDZIP files. One day we will stop playing HDZIP files in order to provide crossfade and other functions that become very complex with the extra unzip time HDZIP files (and ZIPs) require.

Our seasoned users answering here are giving solid advice. There is nothing else I can add. If you need MTU Staff support, go to mtu.com, click the Suppport navigation link, click the "Web Email Form" and post your facts... not emotions... to SUPPORT department. You will receive and answer, if we have facts.
