Hoster 4.02 converts all of your HDZIP fikes to HDMP3 files.

I have never seen this error.

Let me ask some questions that may help others.

1. How many files did not convert?

2. How many of your 11456 KMA files were HDZIP files?

3. Do you have all of the minimum requirements needed to run Hoster 4?

Tryin' to help.

Jim

All of 11456 files is in kma format. Imported to kma from cdg-mp3.

Certain files display this error. Not for all.

"KMA HDZIP contains bad zip file"

It is only the MP3zip files that can cause this error. Aprox. how many MP3zip files did you import into Hoster?

Aprox. how many times did you see the error message?

Jim

Sorry. All files are imported from zip files to KMA format. Certain files contains spanish chars Ej: "CDJKAR-4167-11 - Christian Castro - No Podrás" or "CDJKAR-4167-01 - Alejandra Guzmán - Voverte Amar"

Songs with spanish chars hoster treat it has bad file. I have a lot of files in this format. I think that this is the problem.

The Spanish characters may be a problem with this. I'll alert Admin to have them look at this. I am hoping you waon't have to re-import those.

Please email support at mtu dot com one of the files that fails. We need it to troubleshoot this. Reference this Forum Thread http://forum.mtu.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=78534 and that it is a Spanish HDZIP file that won't convert.

I agree, the extra punctuation is probably not being recognized by our unzipper program. The code we use is the most advanced available to our knowledge as we did an exhaustive search about a year ago. It may be there are some "switches" we need to enable to handle the punctuations in filenames.

I will add that if the .mp3 and .cdg files within the ZIP don't have the same name... exactly the same punctuation included... then that is the reason it is failing. There is only so much we can do with a ZIP before we turn you over the Viruses, Trojans, etc. that some hackers embed in ZIP files. If you unzip one of these, and it doesn't have exactly the same names, we're not fixing it. You'll have to batch convert them using Songverter into MP3+g files and manually rename them before importing them.

WHY CONVERT HDZIPS? We have fought with this ZIPPING problem for years. It has probably cost us over $20,000 alone... one of the most expensive "functions" we have invested in to make it work, and every year something else turns up broken!

We are about to add in Crossfading between songs, or to fade in music when a Playlist song ends so there is no dead-air silence time. The entire new Sound Manager we have been working on for close to 2 years (it is partially in Microstudio 4.006), will hiccup on ZIP files as we would have to add a VARIABLE delay (unzip a 1 minute songs takes less than unzipping a 6 min song) into this BEFORE we even have the .mp3 and .cdg files to play.

We're just not willing to invest any more in this bad technology... which was initially developed for Internet theft of CDG songs. There are many BAD sources for ZIP files, and they often have problems.

We have right at 12 error traps to catch ZIP problems and you're probably introducing a new one to us.

Please forgive my frustration, and please email us a file that fails. That's all I can do. We will try to help you and others get converted. Our "Import HD Files" screen has already been converted to only import ZIPs as HDMP3G KMA format files. Thus, we are ending the problem here, and we must convert all your files over.

Thumbs up Files with accents to MTU check

Hi.

Have problems to send files to MTU. Please download it from this link.

http://www.yousendit.com/download/Q0...cGswVW52Wmc9PQ

These files are check with Avast 4. No virus found. 20mb total.

I send for you four files. These files is the format I zip and convert to KMA.

File 1 - This files have name and zip files with accents. No play with hoster or songverter.

File 2 - This have name with accents and zip files without this (unaccents) play correct.

Files 3 and 4 same with 1 and 2.

Check this...

Thanks
