do I really need to update service pack for hoster 4.0

i downloaded the demo version, and i just checked the programs i have on this test pc , and i have netframe 3.0 and sp1, the demo version seems to work fine, so just wondering what kind or errors would i be getting running hoster on my show laptops thats has sp2 still?
