Question Playlists (hst files)

The new 4.0 looks FANTASTIC, but I have to ask:

What about the ability to combine Playlists (hst files) that I thought would also be included?

The Singer's database was Admin's answer to solve this for you and that is included in 4.0

I remember that's what was originally said. But, I really thought I read somewhere along in one of the threads where they had decided to add that feature, so that playlists could also be viewed and printed Maybe I was wrong?

We had intended to add "statistics" reporting for playlists. However, this has been postponed from 4.00 as we ran out of time... we're still not ready for release but hope to make good progress this week.

If you would, please go to the Hoster New Features Request Forum and post exactly what you would like to see, if you haven't already done this. That will allow us to understand your needs. Please include as much detail, including what you are looking for this to do for you; i.e. the reason you want the change.

Admin, there have been several detailed discussions regarding playlists & hst files. Below is a response from you on 3/15/08. Being able to combine playlist/hst files would be extremely useful. The Singers Database will be a tremendous addition. But what about the ability to use all the information within the Playlists that I have already accumulated & saved over the past 2 years without having to start over!!!!!!!

The Singers Database will have a last played date for each song. You can sort on this field in the songs list window and see what to purge. We do NOT have this in the Songs database, so it won't work on the whole database of songs.

With the ability to merge playlist .hst files, you can also analyze which songs have been sung ......

MOVED per Admin.

As requested by Admin, I started a new thread and moved my response (from above) to New Features Requests.
