We are adding a new Tools menu command in Hoster 4.000 that, when clicked, will instantly reset the Singers Display, Singer's Name Display, and I thing the Search dialog to the MTU factory defaults to insure they are on the display.

We don't like users to be forced to edit the Registry Keys.

As I stated have got my singers screen back however a box came up with this

Error processing file
C:\Users\Rick\AppData\Local\MTU\Hoster\Databases\songs.md
b

Unrecognized database format
C:\Users\Rick\AppData\Local\MTU\Hoster\Databases\songs.md
b'. (3343)
Would you like to see help?

however unable to access help due to WinHlp32.exe no longer available with Vista
After clicking the "no box" a couple of times I do get Hoster, after clicking on tools to rebuild song database the above box displays again and will not let me rebuild
In the songs database destination folder at the bottom is
C:\Users\Rick\AppData\Local\MTU\Hoster\Databases\
however I cant find this. Im not a techie person but should I be deleting this file? if I can find it
Even trying to import songs the same box comes up.

I must mention that my KMA files are on an external drive.
I have upgraded to 3320 and still the box appears
Would appreciate any help before my next gig on the weekend
Cheers
.

It's Vista hiding the file.
Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools/Folder Options. Click on the "View" tab up top.
Check all the boxes that start with "Display"
Then under "Hidden Folders and Files" change it to "Show..."
Then uncheck the two "Hide..." boxes below that. The second will ask you to verify, so click "Yes" on that one.

When you finish click "OK until it all closes. Then you can find the folder where your songs.mdb file and the backup are located. Delete both files. Then open Hoster and rebuild the database comes up automatically.

Oh Boy wish I had never touched it !!

Drive letter is OK, Vista must be hiding the file well and truely
opened explorer but cant find any "display" under view tried searching for hidden files to no avail
Would returning default settings back to a certain date fix the problem and then download 3321?

Did you click on Tools up top and then click on Folder Options?
