mindonstrike, the version of AudioHQ I have is ver 1.10.22 (dated 2001). What version is yours?
Although the AudioHQ applet is a separate executable ("AudioHQU.exe") Creative Labs doesn't offer updates as a standalone download. It's only bundled with the complete install package. That sucks. Even more irritating is that an install package for a different card, known to have a newer version of AudioHQ, will immediately stop loading when it finds your card doesn't match.
I've searched Creative's forums on this subject and it appears the only way to get a newer version of AudioHQ is to find the latest install package for your card. In my case, I had to do a Google search... Creative's website had no downloads available for my old "no longer supported" card (a ploy to buy a newer one, I guess).
