re-set registration

i'll be replacing my old hhd on my back-up laptop since i'm running out of space, tried to clone it (3x) but its not going right, (i didnt have any problems cloning my main laptop), when cloned, the new drive was showing the same disc space as my old drive,so i just decided i will do a clean hhd replacement, but anyway..i'm not sure if admin. is getting my emails about re-setting my registration, i had sent 3 emails since, i'm pretty sure that they are busy, but i just wanted a comfirmation if they received my emails.

Billyo you should have gotten a confirmation email (automatic reply) with a web address to check the status.

thats what i thought but i haven't gotten anything, i have 7 computers at home ( 3 laptops and 4 pc's ) and all of them has the same email set up nothing has changed, i have my hoster installation saved on a cdrom all i needed was to have my reg. re-set..i wanted to install my new hhd and re-install the o.s, but i wanna have everything ready so i could have my back-up just incase..maybe the reason why i am not getting a response was i was asking to have my reg. re-set for the older version 3.317?

Do you have a spam filter on your email account? It could be deleting it before you see it.

I have an inbox.com account that I use for quite a few things. It's web based and free plus it gives you 5 Gigs of storage space. But the emails did come to my spam folder. That's why I asked.

Oh, sorry. I now see you were talking to Billy.

Billyo go to their web access email and see if there are settings you can change for spam. They may have changed their filter and it could be now catching those emails.

i already did that, my firewall was never turned on ,and set my sec. level to "low" from medium..and also disabled my pop-up blocker..so now i'm getting all kinds of stuff whenever i open up an email from anybody, hoping i won't catch any virus..

getting a msg:

i am now getting a msg : "your computer is not fully protected , part of your protection must be fix E-mail & Im action required " this is because i disabled my firewall and set my sec. to low..since i am not getting any responsed from mtu i'm thinking of just cloning my old hhd..and stick with the old version.can't risk getting virus on all my computers..i have a show to do tonight so i cant do anything, and since its friday and almost 7pm.. i am beginning to lose hope that ill hear or get an email from them..

Billyo, you're hiding from us!

Your Forum registered email is all I have to find you on... no name, address, etc.

I took that and searched our Database record and you don't appear.

Come to the Forums, click the "user cp" button at the top, and change your Forum email to the one you buy at MTU with.

Then post in this Thread you have done this. I'm going to be swamped tomorrow so I may not get to answer you, but it will be waiting when I do return. I can then find your database record and help clear your record.

To make this easier for us, install Hoster 3.319 by UPGRADE (NOT... Remove) on the computer you want to remove it from. Assign it a Computer Name that is unique from any others you have named already. Then, post here the name of the computer you want me to clear the registration from.

Reset Registration

Me too submitted a ticket to reset my registration but haven't received any response up to now. I submitted the ticket 2/18/08 and viewed the link that was sent to me on auto response, status indicated that someone responded to my tickect but did not get any response email or notice. I now wandering if mtu been receiving my follow ups.

You can return to the Support Ticket and read our responses.

When we respond, the SCRIPT behind this Ticket system AUTOMATICALLY sends you an email that an answer is waiting. If you are not receiving these, then go to your email service provider and add "@mtu.com" to your APPROVED list so they don't flag us as spam.

DO NOT email "someone@mtu.com". We get over 200,000 emails a day. Thus, we have 3 spam arrestors. If you use a word that these arrestors identify as "spam", your email will be blocked from getting to us.

That is why we created the http://www.mtu.com/support/customer-...m#WebEmailForm so we KNOW your request will get to us.
