XP rocks... Vista is a problem child. Stay XP as long as you can. One day Microsoft MUST fix all the Vista complaints, but currently they aren't even at SR1!

If you have the Hoster demo, read the manual on your questions. I think you'll find most of the answers.

We DEFINITELY are doing Show Rotation as a Tools menu Mode switch command. Disabled you use the standard Playlist. Enabled you get Rotation with Singer slots, multiple songs per slot (add all when they come in, or as they make requests).

We DEFINITELY are doing Singer's Database. You... the Host... decide what name you call each singer. If you have 10 "Bob's", good luck! You decide what to call them. You'll be able to assign a Singer's name to a slot in the Rotation, then - If I get my way (usually do ) - if you search for that Singer, when you add a song from their list it'll automatically go to their slot, placed at the bottom of their slot order. You'll be able to move songs within a slot, and move slots in the Rotation. How else will you let a new singer in?

Now you know 2 of the features in Hoster 4.00x.

I THINK I WILL PURCHASE A NEW LAPTOP WITH XP FOR AN OPERATING SYSTEM, SO THAT IF AND WHEN THEY DISCONTINUE IT, I AM SURE THEY WILL HAVE A METHOD OF UPGRADING OR CONVERTING OVER OR ALL THE PEOPLE RUNNING XP IN THIS WORLD WILL BE S.O.L ? We're trying to get enough new features into Hoster 4.000 before releasing it. We're paying dearly to get Tempo change working...

It seems like we've been wasting our lives fighting Vista problems. It's turning out to be a nightmare to upgrade and move KMA files from where they work fine for 2000 or XP. We've wasted much of February struggling with VISTA.

Do I like it? NO, and neither would you.

Just to put in a plug, at least consider an MTU laptop if you're buying.

Ours come fully upgraded (takes us hours to do this), and Hoster installed and tested. Also, we sometimes have to replace the thin-line DVD drive to insure our CDG Certification. We don't sell thin-line drives, but have them for upgrading our laptops when we need them.
