2nd Lyric Display Screen

The window on my singer's monitor is too small. The Hoster Application is not displaying the 2nd lyric screen so that I can double click to make it bigger. My singers are unable to read the words because they are too small. How do I get to the 2nd screen so that I can resize it?

when it is not full screen it is resizable. Generally though I think full screen is as big as it gets.
You could also play with different resolution sizes for your TV.

totaly agree, but you can "drag" the output back to the PC then carefully resize it ?

Unhappy

The second screen was nowhere so I could not resize it. I ended up having to go into the regedit and remove the default setting so that it was back to the first time I accessed Hoster.

Yes, this solved the problem. But, I would like to understand why the 2nd window disappeared and I can to remove the default settings to get it back.

There's only 2 reasons I can recall that would cause it do disappear:
1 - It got shrunk to the point that it was no longer visible.
2 - It somehow got moved/slid off the bottom of your screen and so was no longer visible.

Usually it's the SND screen this happens to but it also happens to the singer screen occassionally (occasionally meaning occasionally seen in the Help forum).

Wouldn't be a bad idea to cut and paste into notepad, the directions for resetting the registry so if it happens during a show you can quickly get everything back up and running.

Jodi Gambino,

After you move the singers screen to the remote monitor(TV) and resize it, try double clicking on it to lock it in place.

Singers Display

Jody, you stated "I ended up having to go into the regedit and remove the default setting so that it was back to the first time I accessed Hoster."

I have somehow lost my singers screen too. Was going to try windows restore but that is apparently corrupt. So could you post directions as to exactly how to make the change so I can get mine back too.

Thanks so much!!

deleting registry keys for Hoster

Also if you have fragments left over after running defrag you may have a bad block on your drive. The last time I lost all my restore points as well as a bunch of files it was for this reason.

What Hoster version are you running? See Help menu > About Hoster command for the version.

Over a year ago we added error checking to force the display onto the screen if it ever did get off screen so it wasn't visible. If you are running 3.318, then something has broken this code. We'll check on it this morning.

You can download 3.318 here and install it if you have bought Hoster or an upgrade since March 30, 2006.
