display properties on Vista OPS
Hello once again!
Hahahaha..once again it seems that Vista Home Ultimate is evil! I am unable to get to display properties to get Screen # 2 to show the graphics....! Apparently I am supposed to be able to right click on the laptop screen and click on PROPERTIES, but no such heading comes up on Vista...can you shed any light on this issue? Is there some issue with between vista and NVIDIA at war with each other??? PLease help...! |

I have yet to connect my laptop to a tv so I'm usure of the procedure.
I couldn't find "display" in my control panel but I did find an icon for the built in graphics card that appeared to do the trick, which on my machine is the same as right clicking the desktop and choosing "graphics properties" another thing that looked like it would do it is to right click on the desktop and then choose "personalize" (which is also in the control panel) and then on the upper left corner under "tasks" click on "connect to a projector or external display" These two things show different screens so I don't know if they both will accomplish the same thing or if one is correct and the other is not. Please report back. Sam

dual display on vista system
Thanks for your input...I discovered that when you RIGHT CLICK on the desktop screen, there is a heading called PERSONALIZE on the Vista system that appears...That is where I was able to locate the display settings!

I'll have to remember that if I am ever forced to move "up" to Vista.

I pray that day is a long way off. I just hope that by the time I have to buy another computer, Vista is a better running operating system then it seems to be right now. It looks like they tried to make things easier and safer for the "computer dummies" and screwed up those of us who are the "computer geeks".
WE WILL OVERCOME! Jim

I only use my laptop with Vista for beta testing and as a secondary backup for Hoster. If not for the betatesting I would have replaced Vista with XP long ago. Sam
