KHP Complete PC Freeze

The Earlier Version Of KHP worked OK. The New version works on My Desktop PC,
But will Not work on my notebook PC.
Fujitsu-P600mhz -64 meg ram win98
I can load the lyricas and song.
When i click start I get a complete freeze including the mouse and keyboard, with power OFF as my only exit.
My sound card is a PCMCIA external device egosys "wami-box"
It did work with the earlier version of KHP.
Do you have any ideas I could try????

I changed my notebook setup to use the
existing internal sound card and the program works.
But now my problem (may be unrelated)
is the lines of text take so long to come on the screen.
the title doesnt load before the lyrics start. What could cause this
I tried it with placing 1st then starting and i have tried to go a little ahead of it.
