new to digital karaoke, need to buy files (Ksongs) for hoster?

that is what i needed to know
any advice on quickest way to rip cd's? what format bit rate are most of you using. I run QSC and Crown and run 700 w per channel at 8 ohm.

The higher the bitrate, the better the sound quality. I personally rip at 192. But the higher the bitrate, the bigger the file - but with hard drive pricing as low as they are nowdays, just get a good 300-500 GB drive & you should be good for a while.
No real fast way to rip, I do most of mine at a max 4 x speed after I found the faster doesn't always import the best & I am finding alot of my older imports I am needing to re-import because they were done at max & have massive graphic issues.

There is no need to rip your CDs to the computer. Just import them directly into Hoster. When you rip your CDs to MP3+G format you lower the quality and fullness of your music. If you want the best quality sound then don't waste your time ripping them.
I know all you guys say I need a backup. All you need is to back up your KMA files. Then you have them in a compressed format that doesn't lose quality and all you have to do to recover is restore them to the correct folder and rebuild database and you are back in business. Microstudio can even use KMA files to rebuild your CDGs or create a custom CD.

I was using rip as a generic term for converting to hard drive like Hoster does. Ripping doesn't just apply to mp3 files, it's a general term for copying to a computer hard drive.
