Unhappy

Hi guys,

Hoster version Im running is 3.316

no Im not importing from discs. I have cdg files on my hard drive that Iv paid for and downloaded from a web sight.

When I play all 3 types of files: .kma /.cdg / .dat they play perfectly on both primary and secondary screens on hoster.

When I play the .dat & .kma files they play perfectly on the tv screen.

As soon as I play a .cdg file and move the screen over to the extended tv screen, it looks like a mess

Yes you are right as far as the graphics aren't clearing when the lyrics show up....then those lyrics aren't clearing either and so on.

What do you mean by primary and secondary screens on Hoster? Is this without a TV hooked up? So you mean with the singers display showing on top of the main Hoster window?

How are you playing those CDG files? Are using the Import Tracks from HDD? If so they are converted to .kma files when you do that, so shouldn't be any problem unless the files you are downloading are bad or not to standard format.

Sorry, yes I meant the little screen and the singers display screen.

No. I do have a tv hooked up.

When I play all 3 types of files: .kma /.cdg / .dat they play perfectly on both the primary(little screen) and secondary(singers display) screen on hoster.

When I play the .dat & .kma files they play perfectly on the tv screen.

As soon as I play a.cdg file it plays perfect on both the (little screen) and the (singers display) screen but not on the tv.

I dont believe the cdg files I download are bad. If they were, they wouldnt be playing perfectly on both hosters little screen and the singers display screen?

They come in a zip form. I use a prog called MP3+G Tool4 to unzip the files into 2 seperate files: .cdg & .mp3.

Eg: A zip file looks like this:

sc8554-07_-_benson,_george_-_give_me_the_night.zip

Once unzipped they look like this:

sc8554-07_-_benson,_george_-_give_me_the_night.cdg
sc8554-07_-_benson,_george_-_give_me_the_night.mp3

I have imported a few and converted them to .kma just to see if that would solve the problem but when I play them as .kma files they're still a mess on the tv yet perfect on both the little screen and singers display screen?

I click MP3G under "Add Track", pick a song and play it.

I hope Iv explained it better this time. I really hope we can resolve this coz I have 1000's of these files

Ok, I think I understand it now, but have one more little question. The "Singers Display" you refer too is on the computer monitor or where when it works?

Describe your equipment physical hook-up/set-up as i am still fuzzy on this.

Have you tried importing them zipped instead of unzipping and importing?

If I am getting this right, you are using 2 TV's for displaying lyrics. One for the singer and one for the audience. The question then is how/where do you have them hooked into the system?

No, Im only running one tv.

Iv connected my tv thru the S-Video out on one of the cards via a S-Video to RCA converter. It works perfectly with other files.
I have my display setup in "Dual View" mode.

I appreciate you guys trying to help me

Are you running dual computer monitors?
Does all of the Hoster windows show on the Computer monitor and the TV? You should be in Extended mode not dual.

Judging by the first paragraph I'm assuming that when you say ".cdg" you actually are referring to mp3g's that you are loading into the playlist using the MP3G tab at the top of the playlist, correct?

When you say that you move the screen over to the TV are you moving it by double clicking the screen or are you using your mouse to slide it over?
Which begets the question of why are you moving it at all instead of just having it set to open on the TV in the first place?

I've tried recreating your scenario with kma's (all 5 types) and mp3g's, zips and CDG imported from singer disk and with all of them the screen messes up in the process of moving them with the mouse. Brands such as Soundchoice clear right up after the first screen. Chartbuster doesn't refresh their screen between lyric changes so they stay messed up.
Unless I'm totally missing something the answer to this of is don't move the screen, double click it to get it on your TV.
