Bob does she have the Extended Desktop capability? Does it show 2 monitors in the settings?
If so then she probably has a cable problem or could be a resolution setting or refresh rate wrong for the TV. What does she get on the TV, black screen, picture that won't sync, etc?

(sounds fishey to me.) i believe it should work she has s-video/tv out 7 pin. but i dont know what video card is in it and she cant tell me.??? Usually, if you right click on the desktop, then properties, settings, then advanced, that next popup on advanced will show the name of the graphics card somewhere.
