You do not have to import them on each machine. The only question on legality was the way you stated it in your first post. Follow the directions I gave in post #2 and you should have no problems with importing from one or the other computer and blending the two lists.
The way I do it is I do all my importing from my home desktop computer then carry a copy of the added KMA files to my show machine by memory stick or usb hard drive. That way I keep a master copy safe at home in case I have to reload.
