Open My Computer or Windows Explorer. Find the following directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional

Now Delete this Professional directory, completely from your system. Then try running the installation again.

Let me know what this does.

If that still does not work, then try deleting everything in this folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield

So this would delete all files under this. These are the items that they state to try on Installshield's website.

There is something in your system that is messing this up. This is what it states to me on Installshields website about this problem. They said its fixed by doing what I just told you above.

Its not a vista problem, but something with your OS.

When you installed Vista, how did you install it? Did you reformat your computer and do a clean install or did you upgrade from Windows XP?

If you upgraded, most likley this is your problem, and you would have to reformat your hard drive and then reinstall Windows Vista as a Clean Installation.
