Distortation for 2 to 4 seconds at beginning of songs

I am trying to import an audio CD into Hoster and I get distortion at the beginning of most of the songs. I made a copy of the CD on another computer and the same problem occurred when I tried to import it on this computer. When I try to play it using Microstudio, it plays fine in Audio playback, but distorted in Karaoke playback. I have 12,000 songs on my computer and about 1,000 are audio with no problem in the past. What am I doing wrong?

Did you just load this version or have you been using it before?

I've been using 3.313 since December 15th. I've tried importing the songs using the HP DVD/CDR #CGA4080N and also an external Plextor PX-712UF with the same results. As I said, it doesn't happen on all songs.

Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about one CD or multiple CDs?
Always the same track numbers or random?
Are these CDs without the 2 second space between tracks?

It happens on different CD's. The same track's cause the problem each time. I've tried to make individual track copys and then import with the same problem. Often it just sounds as if I dropped the needle at the beginning when playing a record. It's noticeable but not too bad. It's the 2 to 4 second "static" that I can't live with.

The CD's do have 2 seconds between track's. I have made copies on another computer using a different program with some success when importing.

Thanks for your help!

What version of Microstudio did you copy this from? If it was version 3.000, this was a bug in the software.

You need to make sure that you have Version 3.004 of Microstudio to get rid of the static. The static would only occur from Microstudio when writing a disc with the Custom Assembly screen.
