The download.mtu.com server is an extremely fast server, with unlimited bandwidth. It is located in Fairfax VA... the Internet Hub of the UNIVERSE! There is no faster location.
The "slow" problem has yet to be determined exactly what on the server is causing it, but I am sure it is due to the large number of users calling for the 20MB file at the same time. The 3.313 download is on our server with the demo downloads, so the combined demands is clearly exceeding system resources. If you are having problems downloading, come back later.

I am beginning to think it may not be your server but a router or server in between some of us and you Admin. Just seems to be too eradic to be your server.
