using search function during a song causes glitch.

When I use the search function during a song, some times the singers screen will go dark although the words are immediately placed over them as the singer continues, but why this seems to happen only when I use the search function puzzles me? The video card/mother board has been replaced on my Dell 5160 nVidea Goforce 5200.

Any settings I can change to help prevent this?

bryant,

I have tried all sorts of searches while a song is playing, but never saw any kind of glitch within the lyrics screen. I played both CDG and Video files during my tests. I am running Hoster v3.312. Which version of Hoster are you running? How many songs are in your database? What type of file are you playing when you see this problem? KMA, CDG, Video?

newest ver. 3.312. kma files . I wonder if it is something in the laptop, perhaps a memory thing or a setting/preference that could be changed to avoid this? Any further thoughts?

40 gB HD internal 6 gByte free, and 8400 kma files located on a 500GB ext. HD.

bryant,

How many songs are currently in your Songs Database? If you have a lot, this may drastically increase the time it takes to search, and this may be the reason for the delay.

We are considering this problem to NOT be a bug in Hoster as we cannot duplicate it after numerous attempts.

We are moving forward with Hoster 3.313 toward release.

I see. Although I was hoping that maybe someone with a similar system as mine might have noticed these glitches. Beavis has reported he may have drawn a connection between his problem and mine.
Thanx for listening, however.

i see a small, lets say stumble of the graphics sometimes when i search but it also did it in 3.300 and i also have a 5200 video card.
my bigest problem is if i am playing music in music match it stops for a split second when i am doing a search in hoster. but it only does it on my HP d530 computer with a celeron pross. Bob

also i have 31000 songs it has to search

My Bad!

When I evaluated what we have "fixed" in 3.313, there is nothing. Everything is "pilot error" or "system releated"; no code changes. Thus, there is no 3.313 to release.

Whats your HD free space on your internal HD. I think that is most important as well.

Was there mention of a 3.4 by the end of the year?

I thought they talked about some new features such as recording, normalizing, double playlists, etc. That sure sounds like a new decimal point in there some where.
I'm pretty sure it was a "year-end" product as well.
