screen blacks out

Once in a while on my backup laptop I notice that the screen goes completely black for an instant, the words then come right back over it, however. But the singer still has to wait to see the next page in full before it clears back up. Then it goes away entirely when the next song starts. It seems to happen when I go over to the desktop and change my rotation list that I keep on the side on notepad. I rarely have problems with hoster, but this one can be annoying if it were to start happening a lot. I will be sending in my show laptop for repairs and will be using my backup for a week starting next week.
Anybody have any ideas at all what could cause this weird effect?

sounds like your video card maybe going. try updating the drivers from the manufacturers website.

i had a new card go bad in my DVR computer and it wasnt that old. the cooling fan went and i didnt know it and it only shows a black screen when i turn it on. replaced the card and all is good.

good luck Bryant

Screen blacks out

What's really weird though, Beavis, is that the monitor screen itself is perfect (no blacking out). And on Hoster the onscreen words are fine, it only shows up on the monitor that the singer's use.
